*PIB Dehradun Organises 5-Day Hyderabad Press Tour for Uttarakhand Media Delegation*
– A 15-member group of journalists from Uttarakhand will witness the implementation of major Government of India schemes in Hyderabad
– The delegation will visit INCOIS, Shilparamam, ICMR-NIN, Salar Jung Museum, ESIC Hospital, and other leading industrial and technical institutions
– The exposure tour serves as a vital bridge connecting Uttarakhand’s media with central government development projects
A 15-member media delegation from Uttarakhand arrived in Hyderabad on Monday for a five-day press tour organised by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Dehradun, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The delegation departed from Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, for the study and exposure tour, which aims to provide journalists with first-hand experience of the Central Government’s welfare schemes, scientific research, technological advancements, and innovations.
Through visits to key project sites, media professionals will observe the ground-level reality of major people-centric achievements. This initiative is part of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s ongoing efforts to effectively communicate government policies, welfare programmes, and developmental activities to the public through the media.
During the five-day study tour, the delegation will visit prominent national institutions, research centres, and important infrastructure development projects in and around Hyderabad. The core objective is to familiarise Uttarakhand’s media personnel with national-level developmental initiatives, scientific innovation, and advances in digital governance, so that accurate information on these public-interest achievements reaches the general public.
PIB organises such press tours at select project sites so that journalists can take direct stock of ongoing developmental work and assess its broader public and national utility.
During the tour, the media team will visit the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services, Shilparamam (a cultural and crafts village), the ICMR–National Institute of Nutrition, the Salar Jung Museum, and an ESIC Hospital, besides other major industrial and technical establishments in the region, and will interact with experts at each site.

It will provide journalists from the state with in-depth, accurate, and clear information on the Central Government’s achievements in Hyderabad. The primary objective of the national press tour is to build a strong bridge between regional media and national-level developmental priorities. Hyderabad is one of the country’s leading hubs for IT, pharmaceuticals, and scientific research. This study tour will give Uttarakhand’s journalists the opportunity to closely observe and understand the country’s cutting-edge technological and infrastructural progress. Our effort is that, through this exposure tour, media representatives will be able to closely analyse ground-level changes and innovations and convey accurate, authentic information to their readers.
